Wellington Dojo

Sensei Downes first opened the Wellington dojo (previously known as Newtown) in 1978, he has been a strong supporter and advocate for spreading Kyokushin in the region. He joined the Takiwa branch in 2010 and hopes his students can make the most of the international connection

2003 graded to 3rd dan Shihan Bobbie Lowe (Hawaii)
2011 graded to 4th dan

Sensei Downes has trained and attended National & International seminars for over 40 years
